Sometimes when you shoot for the stars, you end up having to make the best of the situation. In December of 2013, a chance at a competition in school allowed us to compete in a web design competition the following spring. It was a unique experience because it allowed us to see the difference between working as a team on a website versus working solo.

Sol 3 Tech is a hypothetical company in the business of promoting green energy we created for the competition. The site was designed from the ground up using multiple aspects of web design including HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Bootstrap, an interactive map that was used to describe various states’ initiatives in green energy, and caricatures hand drawn by our graphic designer.

The project placed first in Oklahoma and third in the nation that year.
