What we collect, and what we do not
Short version: this site counts visits only if you agree to it, and stores what you type into the contact form so we can reply. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising tracking on it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It is not loaded at all until you press Accept on the cookie notice. If you press Decline, or simply ignore it, no analytics script is fetched and no analytics cookie is set.
If you accept, Google sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, browser and the pages you view, as the operator of that service. We record your choice in one cookie of our own so we stop asking; it holds nothing but the word “granted” or “denied” and lasts six months.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page.
The contact form
If you send an enquiry we keep your name, business name, email address, phone number, what you said you need, and your message. It is stored on this website and emailed to Rick so he can reply. That is the whole purpose, and it is not used for anything else: no newsletter, no list, no passing it on.
Enquiries are kept until they are deleted. If you want yours removed, or want a copy of it, ask and it will be done. The contact details are on the contact page.
Who else sees it
The site is hosted by Flywheel, who necessarily hold whatever is stored on it, and enquiry emails are delivered through their mail provider. Google receives analytics data if you accepted analytics. There is nobody else: no advertising pixels, no chat widget, no embedded trackers.
Fonts are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so simply loading a page does not hand your IP address to a third party.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent to analytics. Ask by email or phone and we will deal with it directly. There is no form to fill in and no department to be passed to.
